Individual Volunteers

Embarking on a volunteer journey at Children's Museum Houston or the Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center is a truly enriching experience. Individuals have the unique opportunity to connect with children and families, fostering an environment of learning, creativity, and joy. From assisting with hands-on exhibits to supporting special events, each volunteer plays a vital role in sparking curiosity and making a difference. The museums’ vibrant and welcoming atmospheres provide the perfect setting for personal growth and a chance to contribute to the community in a meaningful way.

Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Minors (13-17) are required to have a parent or guardian accompany them for their first shift. Volunteers who are 18 and older must complete a background check. Please note that we are unable to accommodate court-appointed community service hours.
